If I were starting over and needed to make some guaranteed fast money—something I could rely on month in and month out—the first thing I would do, without question, is start dropshipping on Poshmark...
It’s the safest, most proven, predictable, and easiest way to put an extra $1,000 to $3,000 in your pocket every month.
Is it as scalable as something like Shopify, Amazon, or TikTok Shop? No.
Will it make you a millionaire? No.
But it’s so simple that anyone can start today and be making decent money fast.
I’ve personally been doing this for the last several years, simply because it’s so easy—and it’s hard to walk away from an automatic $1,000 to $3,000 profit every month that pretty much shows up on autopilot now that I’ve hired a virtual assistant to manage it all.
This method doesn’t require any upfront money to acquire customers because you can leverage Poshmark’s organic traffic and buyers who are already actively searching for products. Plus, a lot of it can be automated with software (more on that in a bit).
Just like dropshipping anywhere else, you don’t need to purchase large amounts of inventory upfront. You only purchase the products after you get a sale and are guaranteed a profit, leveraging other people’s logistics and inventory.
Now, the main issue with dropshipping on Poshmark is that you need to use their shipping labels. This is both a drawback and a benefit.
Unlike dropshipping on other sites, you can’t facilitate the transaction remotely by ordering directly to the customer and providing a tracking number. You need to order the product to yourself first, then use Poshmark's shipping label and either drop it off at the post office or have your mailman pick it up.
This adds an extra step to the process, but because of this, the competition for dropshipping on Poshmark is extremely low. You’re competing against other resellers who need to have inventory on hand, whereas you can list thousands of items from other websites without owning them yet—giving you a huge advantage.
Before I dive into my exact formula for success, it’s important to understand that technically, dropshipping on Poshmark is against their terms of service. You’re not supposed to dropship on the platform.
Some people try to dropship directly with a thank-you note, which might work for a short period of time, but when a buyer complains, you could lose your account.
However, because we’re using Poshmark's shipping labels instead, we won’t run into many issues, as we're somewhat abiding by the platform’s rules, which require you to ship the product yourself with a Poshmark label.
Step One: List A LOT of products. You don’t have to purchase these products ahead of time, so your only cost is time.
The more products you list, the more chances you have to make sales—it’s simple math. I promise you, I’m not special—far from it. I just list more than most people, and that’s why I get more sales.
You can list from websites like Amazon using Prime, Walmart using Walmart Plus, Target, or any other site where you can get the product in two to three days. Poshmark gives you three days to ship the product out, and they even allow a few extra days beyond that if you miss that window (as long as it's not every time).
But as a rule of thumb, list products that you can have in hand within two to three days, and you’ll succeed. That’s why I suggest starting with Amazon Prime and Walmart Plus. There are millions of high-quality products with good pictures and descriptions that ship fast.
When you list them, mark them up a decent amount. Poshmark’s fees are relatively high—possibly the highest of all retail platforms (although they did just announce they're dropping their fees SIGNIFICANTLY! - which I'm super excited about - but that's beyond the scope of what we're covering here right now).
I typically mark my products up by 60% to 75% and still get plenty of sales.
I do all this automatically using software called Zeedrop. It copies products from websites like Amazon and Walmart to Poshmark in seconds, including the title, description, pictures, and automatically marks up the price to ensure you make a profit when it sells.
There are two ways I pump out hundreds of listings on Poshmark every day:
I use Zdrop’s bulk feature, which allows me to queue up dozens of products, and the software lists them for me. I just come back, make some edits, and publish the listings.
I hire virtual assistants for as little as $2 an hour to list products for me. You can hire VAs from Facebook groups, Upwork, Fiverr, or onlinejobs.ph. This is a win-win because they get a decent wage for their country, and I get someone to handle the work for me.
Step Two: Increase the visibility of your listings to get more sales.
On Poshmark, you can do this by sharing your listings frequently. Sharing helps put your products in front of potential buyers and pushes your items higher in search rankings for related keywords.
Poshmark search results are often sorted by “most recently shared,” which is why sharing is crucial to getting your items seen. The problem is no one has time to sit and share all day, which is where software comes in. I use two main tools: Simple Posher and Posh Sidekick. These automate the sharing process and allow you to offer discounts to past likers, driving more sales.
Now, technically, automating sharing is also against Poshmark's terms of service. But let’s be honest—most successful sellers on the platform are using these tools. Poshmark has been aware of this for years and hasn’t done much about it, as long as you’re taking care of customers and following basic rules.
The Bottom Line: Many people are still sleeping on the potential of Poshmark as a platform. Sure, you need to relabel packages and take them to the post office, but it’s not much work, and you can make good money.
If you’re looking for a way to make an extra $1,000 or more from home, or if you’re struggling to find success with other eCommerce platforms, this is the best way to build a proven and consistent income fast.
If you'd like to get started and get results as fast as possible, there's no better place to learn how than my new eCommerce Accelerator. Here's a 50% discount code to make it just $47: https://bryan-guerra.teachable.com/p/ecomaccelerator?coupon_code=LES50&product_id=5732688
You can start small, make real money, and then, if you want, use that profit to pursue something more scalable with higher leverage.
But don’t take my word for it—try it out yourself. You have nothing to lose but a little time and effort because listing on Poshmark is free.
Hope it helps!
